Are these chicken wings or angel wings? That’s the question I had to ask myself as I savaged a plate of wings at the Hatch Cover in Colorado Springs. My conclusion was yes *begins to sing* ……heaven, must be missing an angel, missing one angel darling because it’s been fired up and covered in delicious sauces. If you’re like me and consider yourself lets say “ballin on a budget” you appreciate the finer things in life for less. Enter 50 cent wings courtesy of a local hole in the wall called the Hatch Cover.
The thing about wings is the crispy to juicy ratio of the sauce and crunch. Like most people I don’t like my wings to be smothered in sauce to the point where there’s no crisp left or gross and dried out. That being said a tip of the hat goes out to Hatch Cover for perfecting the art of the wing.
Since, I’m crazy indecisive and these wings are so cheap we ordered teriyaki, barbecue and hot. In addition we splurged for waffle fries, onion rings and extra veggies #eatclean #fitfam. My personal recommendation would be teriyaki, it’s not an over powering flavor but still leaves you satisfied and smiling. The entire meal cost $22.75 to leave in a food coma with no regrets which, as I said before, is what I considered #ballinonabudget.
