Reggae Grill – Camden, NJ

Son…. SON! Wait…. let me calm down before I get started. I literally had to wait almost a week to cool off so that this review wasnt littered with emojis like β€οΈπŸ™ŒπŸΏπŸ˜΄πŸ˜‹πŸ₯„πŸ΄πŸ—£πŸ‘€πŸ˜.

Started off with me being at home and hungry and not being able to decide what I want. Since I live in Camden now, I figured I’d check out some of the city’s cuisine because EVERYBODY knows that you find some of the best food you ever had at low key spots around the way. I decided I wanted Jamaican food so I took to Facebook to ask about the best Jamaican spot in Camden and the first 4 people all said Reggae Grill, so obviously that became my choice. So I hop in the whip and proceed to my destination. Pull up there and go in…. GORGEOUS inside. I mean the place was absolutely spotless! Decent amount of tables for people to sit down and eat in. Walk to the counter to order… food is already prepared and you just have to order what you want and they put it in to go box (no matter if you’re eating in or taking out) and keep it pushing. I had BONELESS JERK CHICKEN (πŸ™ŒπŸΏ), a cinderblock of mac and cheese (πŸ’¦), and cabbage with a little jerk sauce on it (😏).

I took a bite of that chicken and instantly got an attitude. Started looking around like someone slapped my mom and took off running and I couldn’t find them. That thing was so flavorful… it was def spicy but it was soooo good! Then I touched that cabbage with the jerk sauce… looked over at the cook likeΒ “HOW DARE YOU MAKE CABBAGE THIS MUCH BETTER WITH THIS JERK SAUCE!” Then, I got myself together and had some of that mac and cheese… SLAMMIN! Then I put some of that jerk sauce on it…. Dawg, my taste buds were likeΒ . After that bite, I pushed my phone to the other side of the table and didn’t touch it again til I was done eating. Mannnn…. if you like Jamaican food. GO TO REGGAE GRILL. Don’t ask questions… just go. You’re welcome!
