JG Original: #TBT Mcdonalds Onion Nuggets

These bad boys were introduced in the 1970’s and were clumps of diced onions that were breaded and fried just like chicken nuggets.  It quickly became one of McDonald’s most legendary items, not that big of a surprise considering that they were just mini onion rings which are delicious but also because they were taken off the menu swiftly without explanation. One could only assume these were cheap as hell also, which can only cement their legacy as legends in golden arch lore.

Bonus: The only existing fragments of the Onion Nugget out there besides on the internet ( you can find ANYTHING on the internet)  is a climate controlled sample out in Elk Grove, Illinois.
