If you haven’t heard yet, Chick-Fil-A has been testing out new spicy chicken strips in certain markets. Lucky for your boy one of those markets happen to be Philly. Anyone that follows the blog, knows that I have stated on multiple podcast episodes, blog posts, tweets, snail mail etc. my feelings towards Wendy’s, since discontinuing their spicy chicken nuggets, out of nowhere. It was truly a dark time in my life when they made that decision, it was my go to order every time I stopped there… little tender pieces of heavenly spicy deliciousness…. and they just snatched that away from us out the blue. I’m still writing my sternly worded letter, because we as a people cannot stand for this! That reminds me, I need to send my daily tweet to them expressing my disgust over this.

Moving on, ever since this catastrophe happened, I have been roaming this earth with a spicy black empty hole in my heart. Enter Chick-Fil-A to the rescue. After watching my coworker smash them 3 days in a row (no exaggeration) for lunch, I decided to see for myself if they were truly as bangin as he made them out to be. Now remember one of the reasons I was hesitant was because I was still a scorned lover, and not quite ready to jump into another relationship yet. However enough time had passed and it was time to move on.
Not going to waste anymore time here, these chicken strips are spectacular…. easily jumped to #1 on my list. They need to stop testing right now and just make them a full-time menu item going forward. These delicious strips are seasoned with a spicy blend of pepper and then of course are hand breaded and cooked in 100% refined peanut oil. One of the main reasons Chick-Fil-A tops a lot of people’s fast food lists is because of the overall quality of their food. The ingredients always seem fresher at Chick and that’s certainly the case here.
I got one of every sauce to see which one was going to be the perfect popping combo to pair with this spicy delight. My favorite dipping sauce was the ranch and of course the Chick-Fil-A sauce but they were all delicious honestly. For the people who like the spicy chicken sandwich then you’ll definitely be a huge fan of these tenders.
Please hear my plea Chick- Fil-A, I’m on my knees begging like an old school r&b singer in the rain…. just go ahead and roll these out full time… I can’t take anymore spicy chicken heartbreak.
If you’re in the Philadelphia, Waco, or South Texas area go give them a try, and share your thoughts below!
