chicagobusiness.com – The Fulton Market District will soon have something every trendy neighborhood needs: a food hall.
Media company Time Out Group said it plans a 50,000-square-foot Time Out Market at 916 W. Fulton Market, a block east of Google’s Midwest headquarters. Expected to open in 2019, the market will include 16 food stalls, three bars, a demonstration kitchen and retail space, according to a statement from London-based Time Out Group, a publisher of entertainment magazines and websites.
The food hall—a more upscale, sophisticated version of the mall food court—has become a popular addition to the urban milieu in recent years, often featuring local restaurants, breweries and coffee roasters. Revival Food Hall, with 15 stalls, opened last year in the Loop, and a two-story food hall is on track to open next fall in the 900 North Michigan Shops mall.
These food halls have been popping up all over but definitely for good reason because I went to one in New York with Xander and that shit was LIT, gonna have to check this one out when it’s open.
