JGTV: Episode 4

MK, Lauren, Wayne and Mo went into Center City to check out the Royale with Cheese from Butcher Bar and to take a peek at Spin. The Royale with cheese consists of two beef patties, american cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions, special sauce, all on a butter toasted potato roll. It has been featured on Thrillist.com’s best burgers in Philadelphia list and Eater.com’s 18 Most Essential Burgers in Philadelphia’s list. PhillyMag.com also voted it Philadelphia’s best burger of 2017 with this description :

Spin is a ping pong bar that opened on September 15th. It’s located on the corner of 15th and Walnut and Eater.com described it oh so perfectly right here:

It has scratch-and-sniff wallpaper, a bathtub filled with balls, and a cocktail called the Gin Jawn

Spin, the ping pong social club/bar/restaurant originally co-founded by actress Susan Sarandon, is expanding into Philadelphia with a 12,000-square-foot subterranean venue that puts your parents’ basement rec room to shame. The new Center City location, on 15th and Walnut, includes 17 Olympic-grade ping pong tables, graffiti murals, a full bar, a bathtub filled with ping pong balls, scratch-and-sniff wallpaper, a DJ booth, and bleachers for watching the ping pong pros in action.
