News – “Whataburger bandits dressed in black, held up 19 fast-food restaurants, police say” – Police say they have arrested the pair responsible for up to 19 aggravated robberies at Whataburger and Jack in the Box restaurants across North Texas.

Eraycio Clark, 21, and Devundre Ghoston, 20, were charged with three counts of aggravated robbery by Mesquite police on Tuesday. On Wednesday, charges for what authorities believe were other stops on their robbery spree began to pile up.

Clark, of Dallas, and Ghoston, of Mesquite, are suspects in robberies in 15 cities in the area, including Euless, Carrollton, Irving, Terrell, Forney and Lancaster. The Euless Police Department added its aggravated robbery charge to the list Wednesday morning, said Sgt. Scott Peterson, police spokesman.

According to a news release from Mesquite police, the robbery spree began Dec. 28. The robbery Euless police believe Clark and Ghoston committed there happened just after 5 a.m. the next day at the Whataburger near Texas 121 and Glade Road.

A surveillance video from one of the most recent robberies, which occurred just before 4 a.m. Jan. 9, shows two people walking through the back parking lot of a Mesquite Whataburger before entering and drawing handguns. One robber can be seen going through the kitchen to the back of the restaurant.
