News – “An Amazon Job Posting Just Revealed Potential Next Plans For Whole Foods”

bisnow.com – Amazon may have accidentally revealed future plans to create grocery pickup services at Whole Foods Market stores through an online job posting.

The post, which was originally discovered by the Puget Sound Business Journal, outlined the e-commerce giant’s intention to offer a pickup service for groceries, Amazon goods and other purchases at select stores across the U.S., including Whole Foods, according to Business Insider.

The job posting has since been deleted, but Amazon was reportedly seeking two finance managers who could work with select retail leaders and project managers in order to launch the new service using the Prime Now app.

Amazon has been offering two-hour grocery delivery services for Whole Foods customers through its Prime Now app, but the push to offer pickup services could be an attempt to better compete with Walmart and Kroger, both of which already offer pickup at a large number of locations across the U.S., Business Insider reports.

The new pickup service could also succeed in making Whole Foods more accessible to a larger number of people and would help the organization cut down on costs by limiting the need for last-mile delivery services.

Bezos just continuing his journey towards world domination, he probably told someone at Whole Foods to “leak” the pic just to get excitement up….marketing 101 (this does sound like a dope service though).
