Anytime, you can get it, you can get it, you can get it. – Kendrick Lamar
That’s the thought that comes to my mind every time I get a breakfast sandwich from Victoria’s. I’ve been going here for over 8 years and haven’t had anything less than a perfect breakfast sandwich, and that kind of consistency is mind blowing. This is low key honestly the best breakfast sandwich spot in South Jersey as far as I’m concerned. Victoria’s is a quaint, no frills bagel shop right off of Larchmont Blvd & Rt.38, where all the focus goes to the quality of the product.
They bake their own bagels, slice their own meat, and make their menu items to order. They even excel in the small details like a customer loyalty punch card; which I have redeemed for many a free breakfast sandwich, and something as simple as foil wrapping your sandwich to get that perfect bite when you get home and unwrap it. All those things add up to why every weekend after 9 a.m. there is a line pretty much out the door. Poetic Justice. They do all the little things right consistently, and are rewarded weekend after weekend with a buzzin bagel shop.
I pretty much come here every weekend and get my regular ham, egg, and cheese with extra ham on a garlic bagel. This weekend it was #squad and I; I got the usual plus an additional sandwich because I needed that in my life. Altogether it was my usual, a sausage, egg, and cheese on a French Toast bagel, and another ham, egg, and cheese on an Everything bagel.
My usual was perfect, as usual, they fry the eggs and ham just the way I love it and the Garlic bagel, which pretty much makes the sandwich stand out from other bagel shops, was sent from the carb gawds! I do have a confession to make though; like I said I’ve been going here for about 8 years and I’ve ordered the same sandwich ev-e-rr-y time. However, this was first time I’ve ordered something else and yeah …….. they killed it. The French Toast bagel unsurprisingly gave traditional French Toast a run for its money. A perfectly cooked sausage patty with fried eggs and cheese was the perfect cohesion of flavors.
This place is like the Tim Duncan of bagel shops, nothing flashy nor fancy, they just do everything right pretty much all the time. There’s no doubt I will be there next weekend and the following weekends after that, so if you decide to stop in, which I strongly recommend you do; here’s an insider tip: Call in ahead if you plan on going after 9 a.m. on the weekend! They have a separate line solely dedicated to loose bagels and call in orders. On the other hand, if it is just a lazy Sunday they have an outside patio area and plenty of tables inside to accommodate you. Viva La Victoria’s! FTW!
