Home Chef- Week 8: Teriyaki Ginger-Glazed Salmon & Everything Bagel Chicken

I took another week off of my food subscription service, Home Chef, but decided to place an order again for last week because I didn’t feel like grocery shopping during a holiday week.

When I logged in, I saw a warning about the holiday affecting your delivery dates but because my delivery day was set for Tuesday, I didn’t think it would affect me. Fast forward to Wednesday night and I still don’t have my delivery so I checked the tracking and realized it was set for Thursday. I knew Thursday was a busy day and I would end up getting home late but there was nothing I could do at that point. I got home on Thursday night at 8pm and it was about 80 degrees outside. The bottom of the box was soaked and when opened it, majority of the ice packs were melted. I was able to salvage all but the fish and chicken. I contacted Home Chef who issued me a credit on my next box which definitely helped! I also still used the recipes with my own chicken and fish.


Day 15: Teriyaki Ginger-Glazed Salmon

The Teriyaki Salmon was amazing and quickly become another one of my favorite meals. I can’t wait to make it again! Like last week, this was the again the first time I have ever even considering making my vegetables this way but it definitely won’t be the last.


Day 16: Everything Bagel Chicken

The whole idea of everything bagel chicken is something that I’ve never even heard of so I was pretty excited to try this. The veggies were another delicious twist that I will definitely be making again. The chicken however, we probably my least favorite meal I’ve gotten from Home Chef yet. It was ok, but nothing that I’d remake.
