We had the pleasure of attending the Passport 35 Wine Tasting event at Bistro Romano in Philadelphia, PA. Passport 35 Wine Tasting is a $35 event where you can try 35 Curated US & Global Wines. The event also featured fantastic appetizers, live music, and delicious wine available for purchase at a discounted price.

If you haven’t yet been to Bistro Romano, we highly recommend you change that. The atmosphere alone is like no other in the city. They’ve won numerous awards including getting voted Most Romantic Table in the City by Fox29 and Best Romantic Dining by Citysearch and it’s for good reason. They also offer a nightly happy hour, a weekend Mystery Theatre Dinner, and a wine store.

The Passport 35 event was very well-organized in their upstairs private room where they had all 35 wines set out for the tasting. The band was set up in the front of the room with a cheese and veggie platter and the register was set up at the back of the room for purchasing wines. Waiters carrying hors d’oeuvre appetizers walked through the room every couple of minutes with something new to try on every tray. They definitely know how to host a wine tasting, as you can see from the video below!
