SIZE MATTERS!!!…… or does it??
In this case , “REALLY BIG THINGS”, comes in really small packages. By making a gigantic world small by packing a huge punch, there’s no large task the the “Ant man and the Wasp” can’t handle. Welcome to their world. The second installment promised to bring an explosion like no other… and yes, it delivered! I hope by this time you have seen The Avengers Infinity War because “roll credits” it’s going to continue to tie into the Marvel universe. Small spoiler: the movie takes place a little before infinity war and ends where it left off.. so be ready for the big Avengers movie (Avengers 4) when it makes its return. Now back to the little man. Ant man played by Paul Rudd did it again. This role was meant for him and he absolutely owns it. Also starring Evangeline Lilly as (Hope aka the Wasp), Michael Douglass (Dr. Hank Pym) and Michelle Phifer (Janet). This movie is one hell of a roller-coaster ride!
It’s ups and downs twists and turns won’t leave you with a headache or nausea, but more ecstatic waiting for the next ride! With a great flashback, it explains how things came to be. As a much younger Dr Hank and a beautifully vibrant Janet, we gain an understanding that they were once the original Ant man and the Wasp. With the Wasp taking a life changing risk, she gets trapped in a world unknown for years that changes course and starts a chain of unheralded events!
This movie has everything needed to make it memorable. Story, tons of action, connections to the other movies in the Marvel universe, and dope visual effects. All these come together perfectly! And the supporting actors only make the movie even better, Michael Pena steals the movie again. Oh yeah… we also get a cameo from T.I. and he was hilarious. Stellar ensemble, also the humor is spot on. Get ready for a lot of surprises!
If you think that watching “Ant-Man and the Wasp” after “Infinity War” is crazy, believe me, Marvel owned us once again. Just the thought, that after such a big event in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) we are watching a lighter film, but at the same time extremely important for the culmination of all the events of ten years of stories is mind-boggling! I give this movie 4.6 good ol’ black bean and tofu bacon burgers!!! It’s damn good!!!! So get up off that damn couch grab the family and go see this movie, understand the story gets you prepared for the “BIG” AVENGERS!!! Provide your feedback and let me know what you think!
Come back and get more from the movie man and continue to get your grub on!!
