JGTV: Fishtown BrewPub- Philadelphia, PA

This past Sunday we stopped at Fishtown Brewpub located on Frankford Ave., for brunch after hearing great things about them and their extensive food and drink menu. They definitely didn’t disappoint!

We started off with some of their craft beers, we got the European Mild, Blueberry Belgian, and Double IPA… after a couple of sips we already knew we were in for a treat. So after browsing the menu and getting some recommendations from our wonderful waitress we decided to try out the BrewPub Burger, the Steak and Eggs, Thai Peanut BrewPub Wings, and Whiz Wit Fries with Bacon.

We talked about it on Episode 29 of the Just Grubbin podcast, but holy shit were we blown away by the presentation and quality of everything. We all agreed that we never had wings quite like this before, the Thai peanut sauce was bangin… combine that with their custom avocado ranch and you’ll understand why those and the delicious fries didn’t last long at the table before we devoured them.

The BrewPub Burger consisted of PA Hereford beef, smoked tomato aoili, sharp provolone, house pickles, on an everything Philly muffin. The Philly muffin was a unique take on a classic, this was so good we almost ordered another one to take back to the crib.

Their version of the Steak and Eggs came with grilled ribeye with honey thyme glaze, two eggs (got ours over medium), breakfast potatoes, grilled bread, and a simple salad. Lauren and Big Al mentioned this on the show, but the potatoes alone were worth a return trip…. we have no idea what they seasoned them with but wooo shit was it delicious, I’ll go as far to even say sensational.


Lauren has already made plans to return here this weekend because everything was that fresh and fantastic. You don’t have to believe us though, head in and check them out for yourself!
