metro.co.uk – A customer who found hairs in his burger was refused a refund because the greasy strands were apparently ‘a matter of personal taste’.
Darren Wood, from Norwich, was about to eat a bacon cheeseburger that he’d ordered from burger chain Byron through Deliveroo when he spotted the matted hairs.
When he complained to Deliveroo, he was allegedly refused a refund and was told by its customer services that it was a ‘matter of personal taste’.

They wrote: ‘I’m sorry to hear you weren’t happy with you order from L’Osteria, however I’m unable to offer a refund or credit as this is a matter of personal taste. ‘Serious failings’ at hospital where pensioner, 85, died after drinking cleaning fluid ‘Please accept our apologies.’ Mr Wood replied and said: ‘I’m not sure having hair in your food is to anyone’s taste to be honest.’
Yet despite the confusion, a second team member told him he was only entitled to £5 refund for a late delivery on his £13.50 burger. The adviser said: ‘I understand where you’re coming from.. As much as I would like to give any compensation for this, I’m unable to offer a refund in this instance.
So…..does this mean…that some people are out here requesting hair on their burgers in Norwich?? But nah fuck this shit, me and these people woulda had to fight…you’re not going to serve me up a bacon hairburger and refuse my refund…we’re either going to court or I’m burning everything down damnit!
