wthr.com – Brooklyn Center, Minn. (WTHR) — A 75-year-old woman was arrested and charged with shooting her grandson after he allegedly placed a cup of tea on her furniture.
Helen Washington allegedly shot her grandson in leg. The grandson told police that she had become upset when he repeatedly refused to keep his teacup off of her furniture, prompting her to pour out the tea and grab a .38 Special revolver, KARE reported.
Once she returned with the gun, she saw he had a new cup of tea. She then pulled out her gun and shot him in the leg.
The grandson was found on the front lawn and five rounds were found in her house.
Washington was charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 18.
I always tell people certain Grannys are not to be trifled with and clearly Helen is one of those grandmas…I mean just imagine if he would have left the door open while the air conditioner was on?? Grandma might have emptied the clip on him. Also Helen absolutely ran with some sort of mob or gangsters in her 20’s.
