Description on Wendy’s website: A juicy, lightly-breaded Homestyle chicken breast topped with swiss cheese, three strips of Applewood smoked bacon, and a sweet maple glaze all on a flaky croissant bun. It’s sweet. It’s savory. It’s what you’ll be thinking about the rest of the day.
Here’s my official review:
In my opinion Wendy’s has one of the best chicken sandwiches in all of the fast food game in their Spicy Chicken Sandwich and I’m also a fan of croissants so when I saw this displayed in the window I had to give it a go. It comes with everything that they said and I got spicy chicken instead of the regular buttermilk. The combination of the maple glaze, the soft yet firm croissant bun, bacon (everything is better with bacon) and the heat of the chicken was magical to say the least. I thought this was going to be a case of a company just trying some bullshit to stay with competitors but nah this was BIG fire. I’m not kidding when I say I almost went back to get another one because it was that good. I would highly recommend this to any other chicken sandwich fanatics.
Full disclosure most of the time when I eat fast food, like most of America, i’m inebriated and that was definitely the case here…but my statement stands damnit, this was delicious.
