sfchronicle.com – Instead of getting the first taco of 2019, a 23-year-old Sonoma man was booked into the Sonoma County Jail Tuesday.
Abel Macedonia-Gutierrez was discovered by police to be passed out while parked in the drive-through lane of a Taco Bell restaurant on Washington Street in Petaluma early on New Year’s morning, police said.
Officers said he showed signs of being intoxicated, was uncooperative, refused to get out of the car and had to be removed from the vehicle by force.
After obtaining a search warrant, officers administered a blood alcohol test. Macedonia-Gutierrez was booked into jail on suspicion of drunk driving.
It looks like we’re starting 2019 with multiple taco arrests but intoxicated and uncooperative basically sums up anyone at Taco Bell between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. so there’s nothing really surprising about this story…hell if you listen to the podcast Leer and Jay told y’all the story about the Taco Bell employee that was clearly on Meth when he stopped there after a night of boozing…sounds like this guy just had bad luck and was at the wrong drive thru at the wrong time with the police showing up while he was trying to get his cheesey gordita crunch on.
