fox4news.com – Valentine’s Day just won’t be the same this year, as Sweethearts candy hearts will not be on store shelves for the first time in a century.
After a year break, the Valentine’s Day staple should be available for purchase in 2020.
“We look forward to announcing the Sweethearts relaunch for the 2020 Valentine season, and hope to reintroduce Necco Wafers to the marketplace in 2019,” Spangler Chairman and CEO Kirk Vashaw said in a release.
While the original candy hearts will not be available, Brach’s and Sour Patch Kids have rolled out their own versions.
Yea my headline says it all on this one…good fucking riddance. I don’t know anyone that actually likes these pieces of 1940’s nostalgia but I’ve never been a fan. Their literally only good for middle schoolers to let their crushes know that their crushing on them. DASSIT! Sour Patch Kids might have a version thats decent but I’ll have to try that first and report back but yea overall i’m celebrating this one.
