Celebrating its 17th year, Let Them Eat Cake has become one of the city’s premier culinary events. This year promises to be extra special with the theme “Mythical, Magical Beasts and Creatures”. With over 1000 attendees annually, this is a must see and taste event for foodies of all ages. Festivities begin at 6pm Sunday March 15, 2020 at the Regency Ballroom in the beautiful LOEWS Philadelphia. For a donation of $40 in advance or $50 at the door, attendees will have the opportunity to sample up to 40 different cakes with unlimited spirits and wine tastings (we even provide take home containers!).
This incredible evening of fun and food, supports a fantastic cause! Funds raised go to support Variety Works program, an innovative transitional service that takes teens and young adults with disabilities transition through our job coaching program to gain and sustain permanent employment.

Join Variety at Let Them Eat Cake – Mythical, Magical Beasts and Creatures! Each year, over two dozen of Philadelphia’s greatest pastry chefs come together to compete in a cake competition which follows a certain theme. Bakers can win awards in categories such as Best in Show, Best Taste, and Audience Choice.

Variety – the Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley
Since 1935, Variety – The Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley has continued its mission to enrich the lives of children and young adults with disabilities through social, educational, and vocational programs that nurture independence and self-confidence, and prepare them for life.
In 1949, Variety Club Camp and Developmental Center opened its doors for the first time. Originally serving boys who had survived polio through an Overnight Camp, our Camp and Developmental Center now serves children of all ability levels in a wide array of programs year round.
Variety serves children between birth and age 24 with temporary and/or permanent disabilities resulting from injury, illness, or congenital conditions. Variety is currently serving children in the following states and counties;
Pennsylvania: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia
New Jersey: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Ocean and Salem
Delaware: New Castle, Kent and Sussex
